RECYCLE and get items you need or want!

I came across this interesting web site that is sort of like Ebay, except you SWAP items. Because times are tough and no one really wants to spend money, this is an awesome idea!!!!!

Here's the link: http://www.swapsity.ca/

I think for now it is just for Canada. I know when I joined you had to request a membership.

LAST NIGHT WAS MOVIE NIGHT

After work, Bob and I headed out to Heather & Xander's for dinner. Heather made this fantastic assortment of Indian style food. I can't remember any of the names. lol

I know there was brown rice, some sort of pita bread, something spicy with cheese, butter chicken and something with spinach and these little bean things. Anyways, TOTALLY YUMMY! Heather is an amazing cook! She can bake and decorate cakes as well as cook dinner! lol She even served Coconut Milk for us to drink.

After dinner we took off to go see THE WATCHMEN in Niagara Falls.

I don't want to give it away, but for me, I really loved the movie!!! I know they said it was long, but again for me, it wasn't. I think my favourite character was Dr. Manhattan. teehee!

So in honour of this movie, I located this blog entry with cutesy little Watchmen Toys, artwork, etc...

FAKE NIAGARA REGIONAL POLICE OFFICER PULLING OVER PEOPLE!

Received this email this morning from someone I know:

Subject: Everyone PLEASE read VERY IMPORTANT (March 3, 2009)

Katharine Ouderkirk Thursday, March 05, 2009 8:54 AM

>>>Everyone please take this seriously this happened to my friend Lynn's co-worker on March 3rd in St. Catharines on her way to work. Kathy

This happened to me TODAY March 3/09!!! I was driving on the QEW heading to St.Kitts at 8am this morning, took the Niagara Street cut-off turned right on Grantham Ave. He is using a car that looks like an unmarked cruiser. Similar if not an Impala. Beige/light in colour. He does NOT have red and blue flashing lights, his front head light flash right then left right then left. He does have a siren that is loud like a cops hence why I pulled over. He was wearing a dark suit with a dark suit jacket, when he approached my car he quickly flashed a badge and put it away saying Niagara Regional Police. He is about 5'11 6 feet tall short dark/gray hair medium build. He used a very MEAN voice when speaking to me saying that I was speeding. He had on Dark sunglasses that he never removed. He asked for my licence and insurance. Went back to his car took about 7-8 mins then returned. He handed me my stuff back and said your ticket will be in the mail. I looked at him and said for what charges? He yelled at me well let's see 130 in a 100 that is $230 and following to closely that is another $100 and walked back to his car. Of course me being me yelled out my window excuse me as I had a question he never turned around just got in his car. He waited for me to pull out first then came right behind me. I went straight he turned left onto Welland Ave. I called the regional's as things didn't add up and I was NEVER even issued a ticket today nor was my licence or plates run through the system. I had t o make a report!!!! This jerk NOW has where I live my age and name!!

EVERYONE PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL PASS THIS ON TO EVERYONE!!! IF YOU ARE NOT SURE IF IT'S A REAL POLICE OFFICER CALL 911 and HAVE THEM SEE IF THERE IS AN OFFICER THERE!!!! BETTER TO BE SAFE THEN SORRY.....

If anyone has any questions feel free to send me an e-mail

The SECRET GIft has arrived and I ordered a Custom-Made Messenger Bag

This morning when I logged onto the internet to track and see if Bob's present was near I saw it was indeed in Canada which means it would probably be delivered today.

AND IT DID!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom gave me the call to say it had been delivered and the guy had indeed paid good money to have it delivered in time for Bob's birthday but it had not arrived in time. I hope the guy gets his refund back for that.

As you can see, Bob's surprise gift was a G-Scale Tardis for his Garden Train Set. It came complete with decals to attach, a blue light and the lid comes off so if Bob wants to do some wiring he can have the light flash. We need to paint it blue of course. Bob was so happy when he saw what it was. Mary did good! LOL The little guy with it was one of Bob's train people. I'll paint him up as a little Doctor Who guy at somepoint.
Speaking of trains, here is a cute little Train that Nadine & Steve gave Bob for his birthday.

I'm also super excited as I ordered a custom-made purse from Etsy with a Yellow Submarine. I haven't received it yet as it was just finished this weekend and will be mailed tomorrow I'm told. Hippie Strips was kind enough to send me some pictures of what it looks like:

Bob was so impressed now he's debating whether to order a bag for himself for his Orchestra Sheet Music. lol

I'm soooooooooo thrilled and excited by what I see I can hardly wait to receive it and start using it!! One of a Kind!! WOO!!

NOTE: We are moving all our G-Scale Train Posts to our new blog www.gscaletrain.blogspot.com
