Finished a project for Christmas

Happy to report I finished a project for Christmas.

Bob and I were in Value Village one day and I was lucky to find an unpainted Sleigh.

I quickly purchased it for $7.99 plus tax and here is what I painted.

I love it so much, I'm doing another one on a Cupboard door with a blue/grey/purple background so stay tuned for the results when I'm done that in a few weeks. Darn work gets in the way. lol

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH - I finished a Project In My New House

Well, you gotta love this!!

We bought a house in and moved in at the beginning of Sept. and then got married on the 20th! LOL We're two wild and crazy people!
In our new house we have a designated art room!! This gives me a chance to work on items and close the door when we are done so the kitties can't go in and make a mess. lol
So, here we go, this is my newest HOME project!

I had purchased a table at a yard sale and we use to keep our video tapes on it. It was just plain wood.

So, I decided to paint it black.

And then I had to decide what to paint on it. I made the decision to paint our favourite Nintendo Wii characters on it and this is how it turned out. :)

I'm really thrilled with the way it turned out!!! It's currently in the basement with a sealer on it and I'm just waiting for it to dry. :o) What do you think? Bob loves it!! Yaaay!!

PS: The little Stuffed Rabbid, I purchased at this store: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5641688 by Catsicle :o)

UPDATE

Sorry gang for being away so long.

Lots to catch up on, unfortunately no piccies at this time.

We decided to sell Bob's house and buy a new one which we'll be moving into August 30, 2008 -- it's a whole new canvas for us. The house is MUCH bigger then Bob's old house. We're going to take our time redecorating as we now have to adjust to a budget. lol

We have ALSO decided to get married - which will happen September 20, 2008 so no doubt there will be a lot to show from that once it happens.

Once we are settled, we'll get back into the swing of things and I'll start painting again. Yaaay!

Thanks for hanging in there and stay tuned.

Oh, well, I guess while you are waiting you can click this link to a fellow blogger/friend Karyn who took some practice photo's for Bob and I as she and her man Joe have volunteered to do pictures for us for the wedding since we aren't hiring a photographer. You see, Bob and I are paying for this wedding ourselves, so the budget is very tight.

ENJOY!

Picture Time from Painting Class

Hi All!

Last night I decided to take the camera along to painting class. Everyone is doing something different and I thought it would be neat to take some pictures.

This is Beth, our instructor's Daughter-in-Law and she is painting Annette's downstairs bathroom.

Here Beth has finished a bit more of the room.
Here is a table-top that Cindy, Annette's neice was working on.

Here is Beth taking a break and Cindy & Annette hard at work.

And last but not least, Mom Robinson & Mommy McPherson. lol

I'm currently working on a secret present for my nephew Dawson, so I won't leak out any info about it until it is done. :o)

Ho Ho Ho - a little late

Well, Christmas came and went, and then so did New Years and shortly after, my father passed away. :o( So there was a delay getting my Christmas Painting done, but it finally is finished.

I think it came out pretty good. I've listed it on Etsy for sale. It's an Ikea Wooden mirror and I painted Santa with his elves.

My newest creation I'm working on now is another mirror but this will be for my nephew Dawson - it will be Pokemon themed. I'll post it when it's done.

We've decided to repaint our cupboards in the kitchen, so this is as far as we got at the moment. It's hard to do all this and work too, so that's why it is taking so long. You can see the top part is painted white and the bottom (which I still have to work on is the original colour of the wood). Should be a BIG improvement when it's done.

I've also added a new link to the side. http://homebuilding.thefuntimesguide.com/ as Randy posted some wonderful pictures of a Yellow Submarine themed nursery for his baby. :o) You should check it out!!!

Thanks all for now!
